So Loved

This February, show your kids how much Jesus loves us with our family challenge.

A 28-Day Journey Through John 3:16

I don’t know if it is just me, but John 3:16 was the foundation of my verse memorization, but how often do we stop to let the weight of those words change our daily rhythm? The So Loved Challenge is a simple, 5-minute daily devotional designed to help your family deconstruct, understand, and internalize the “Gospel in a nutshell.”

What’s Inside the Challenge?

You don’t have use any of our resources, but we have several supports for you during this month. A calendar guiding you through simple, short reflections 6 days a week. There is also a quick craft to create a memory verse chain. Lastly is an adult weekly reflection guide that would be a great fill in for the one day a week you take off the challenge. I’ll be journaling each days reflection on Instagram if you want to join me.

1. The Daily Rhythm Calendar

A printable roadmap for the month. Each day focuses on a single word from the verse with a prompt for Reading, Reflecting, and Praying. It’s designed to fit into the gaps of your day—breakfast, carpool, or bedtime.

Each week, we will walk through each word as we reflect on the source, sacrifice, invitation, and promise of love that we see from the Father through Son within us as the Holy Spirit. Each word in John 3:16 was specifically and divinely inspired by God to show us why Jesus Christ died for us on the cross.

2. Weekly Loving Heart

We know that you can’t lead where you haven’t gone yourself. Each week, we provide a shorter but deep-dive devotional specifically. These recaps help you process the theology of John 3:16 first, so you can speak to your children from an overflow of your own heart.

3. The Interactive Word Chain

Turn memory work into a visual masterpiece. As you study a new word each day, your children will add a link to their “Word Chain.” By the end of the month, you’ll have a physical representation of God’s Word hanging in your home.

  • Word Chain Template: Designed to allow printing on different color pages like Valentine’s tones like red, pink, white, and purple for a patterned look.
