Victory TKD “Journey To Bethlehem

Drop off your children ages 4-11 at IDC on Saturday, December 6 from 9 am – 12 pm for an interactive event that gives them the opportunity to experience the real meaning of Christmas. After dressing in Biblical cloaks, participants will join caravans headed to Bethlehem. Here they interact with Mary and Joseph on the road from Nazareth, Shepherds in a field under a starry sky, Wise Men planning their trip, and Simeon and Anna expectantly waiting at the Temple in Jerusalem. All these characters then connect together to present an exciting Nativity drama full of truth and awe.

2025 IDC Skills & Drills Baseball Camp
Three days of camp focused on improving your current athlete’s hitting, fielding, and base running skills. The camp will be led by former coaches and players and will operate on the baseball field at Imago Dei Church (9200 Strickland Rd Raleigh, NC 27615) from 9:00am-12:00pm Tuesday, June 17 through Thursday, June 19. The cost is $10 per camper and includes a t-shirt. Campers must be between 8 and 12 years by the last day of camp. Space is limited!

2025 Victory Taekwondo Summer Camp
July 14-18, 2025

Mighty Kids: ages 4-7 at 9:00-11:45 am
Students: ages 7-13 at 5:30-8:30 pm

Showcases for Family and Friends will be: Friday, July 18 at 11:30 am for the Mighty Kids, and Friday, July 18 at 8:15 pm for the Evening Camp.

Come ready to learn Kicks, Punches, Board Breaking, Swords, and Self-Defense techniques. Victory Black Belt instructors and Senior Students will be teaching each day. Most importantly, come join us as we focus on God’s Word and His Gospel Message. We’ll be learning the importance of choosing to follow God’s way in each of our lives through skits, instructions, and testimonies. We’ll have the best kind of fun as we discover the Truth!

Cost is $25 per camper which includes t-shirt and taekwondo pants. $75 family maximum (3 or more children). Scholarships are available.

IDC Soccer League: IDC Family, have any K-5th kids? Consider signing them up to participate in the upcoming IDC Soccer League, going from March 29th through May 17th. Our goal is to use soccer as a platform to talk about Jesus. Specifically, our goals with this league are to (1) bring the family of God together and (2) reflect the love of Christ to our neighbors. Invite your neighbors who have kids in this age range to sign up as well. We want them to see the love of Jesus evidenced in us and how we treat each other. FAMILY GAME NIGHT
Our next family game night is coming up on February 7th! These events are meant for families of elementary aged children, but please bring everyone! It will be from 6:30PM-8:30PM in the IDC Community Room. We will have opportunities to play games, meet new people, and enjoy a small snack. Don’t miss out! This has been a great time for families to meet and connect. We look forward to seeing you there! I’ll post a sign up link next week.

BIKES, TRIKES, AND SCOOTERS
Families with children birth to 5th grade, bring your child’s preferred method of non motorized transportation and ride around the IDC parking lot with friends from 10:00am-11:30am. The parking lot will be roped off, but parents should still keep their children within eye site during the event. FAMILY GAME NIGHT
We have our next family game night coming up on February 16th. This event is meant for families of elementary aged children, but please bring everyone! It will be from 6:30PM-8:30PM in the IDC Community Room. If you have not been to this before, you will not want to miss out. We will have opportunities to play games, meet new people, have some hot chocolate, and participate in a BUILDING-WIDE SCAVENGER HUNT. Don’t miss out!

November 3: Family Game Night (6:30-8:30pm)
In the IDC Community Room

Our next family game night is coming up on November 3rd! These events are meant for families of elementary aged children, but please bring everyone! It will be from 6:30PM-8:30PM in the IDC Community Room. We will have opportunities to play games, meet new people, have some cider, and participate in an ESCAPE ROOM, where families will work together to help find Pastor Tony’s lost sermon notes!

Taekwondo Camp July 17-21 (ages 4-13)
Victory NC Taekwondo, operated by IDC members Bill and Jamie Cromwell, offers a fusion of VBS and Taekwondo in a jam packed half day camp. There is a morning (ages 4-7) and evening session (ages 8-13), but exceptions can be made if siblings would like to attend together. The cost is $50/child with a discount when registering three or more children.

Baseball Skills & Drills Camp June 19-22 (ages 8-12)

A half day camp designed to improve your current baseball player’s skills led by two of our pastors, Tony Merida and Kent Bass. IDC members and regular attenders are highly encouraged to invite their baseball loving, non IDC friends to attend this camp.

June 4: Bikes, Trikes, & Scooters

This Saturday, June 4, is Bikes, Trikes & Scooters Day from 9:30-11:30am at Imago Dei Church. Bring the whole family along with your child’s favorite non-motorized method of transportation and join other kids 5th grade and younger for a time of cruising around the IDC parking lot. Parking will be available on the right side of the lot and the left side of the parking lot will be blocked off for riding.

Reminders: 

  • Please remain on campus with your child and provide supervision at all times.
  • All children must wear helmets while riding.
  • Bring plenty of water. 

We are looking forward to a fun time of fellowship with all our IDC Kids and their families!

Summer Events

Sunday, May 22 is our final 4:00pm Discipleship Hour. We’ll take a break for the summer months and resume classes again in the fall. In an effort to maintain a sense of community and connection amongst our kids and families, we have a few summer events/camps that we want to make you aware of. 

Bikes, Trikes & Scooters: June 4th (Saturday)

  • Details: Bring your child’s favorite non-motorized method of transportation and join other kids 5th grade and younger along with their families for a time of riding around the IDC parking lot.
  • Time: 9:30a -11:30a
  • Location: IDC Parking Lot
